Oceanography training

Understanding ocean phenomena and movements is vital for fishing vessel captains. By correlating their own fishing experiences with a better knowledge of oceanic phenomena described by CATSAT maps, they can make fishing operations more efficient and find new fishing grounds.

CLS has designed specific training courses with captains in mind. Our courses cover the basic principles of physical oceanography and progressively combine theory with practical experience.

Our training instructors are highly skilled oceanographers. Courses can be organized either at CLS or on site.
